How to Sign the Retainer Terms in the Client Portal
Reviewing and e-signing your terms lets your legal team begin work, keeps your Workflow moving, and ensures everyone agrees to the same responsibilities and fees. This guide shows how to find the task and complete your e‑signature quickly.
Who this is for: Clients who need to review and e-sign Terms and Conditions (sometimes titled Retainer Agreement or Agree to Terms) in the Glade client portal)
Before you start
Set aside a few minutes to read the terms carefully.
Option A: From your Home (To‑do list)
Don’t see “Agree to Terms”? Use Option B below.
Option B: From Activity → Workflow
In the left navigation, click Activity.
Open your specific Workflow.
Locate the task titled Terms and Conditions (or Retainer Agreement) and click View.
Review and sign
Open the document and read through it carefully.
Click Agree and Sign to proceed to sign.
Enter your full name in the signature field. Check the box for I agree to electronically sign.
Click Sign the Terms to submit.
Result: The task is marked Completed in your To‑do list and your legal team is notified.
Tips
If any detail looks incorrect (name, address, fee), stop and message your firm before signing.
You can download a PDF copy after signing—open the signed document again and you will find a download button in the top right corner
If the Sign button is disabled, check that the e‑sign consent box is selected and the full name field is filled.
Troubleshooting
Can’t find the task: Refresh the Home page or go to Activity → Workflow and look for Terms and Conditions/Retainer Agreement.
Name won’t validate: Enter your full legal name as it appears in your client profile.
Buttons not clickable: Ensure required fields and the e‑sign consent checkbox are completed; try refreshing the page.
