How to update Contact details

Keeping contact details accurate ensures messages go to the right person, e‑signatures match legal names, and invoices/notifications arrive without delays. Here are two ways to update a client or collaborator’s info in Glade.

Who this is for: Legal teams managing contact records in Glade.


Option A: Edit from the Contacts directory

  1. Open Contacts in the left navigation.

  2. Find and click the Contact you want to update.

  3. In the top‑right, click the three dots (⋯) and choose Edit Member.

  4. Update the Name, Phone number, and/or Email as needed.

  5. Click Save.

Result: The contact record is updated across Workflows where that contact appears.


Tips

  • Make sure the legal name matches the name used for retainers and e‑signatures.

  • Double‑check the email address before saving—typos can block notifications and invoices.


Troubleshooting

  • Email already in use: The address may belong to another contact. Consider updating the existing contact or using a different email.

  • Changes not showing in a Workflow: Reopen the Workflow or refresh the page to pull the latest profile data.
